Smilepill 21 Tablet is a prescription oral contraceptive that contains the active compound Ethinyl Estradiol (0.03mg) + Levonorgestrel (0.15mg). It helps prevent unwanted pregnancy by preventing ovulation and may also help regulate menstrual cycles.
Clinical Uses
Smilepill 21 tablet is primarily used as a contraception to prevent pregnancy. It may also help regulate irregular menstrual cycles and reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and menstrual cramps.
Additionally, it may help manage hormonal acne and certain symptoms associated with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or other hormone-related concerns, when prescribed by a doctor.
How It Works
Smilepill 21 Tablet works through the combined action of its two hormones, Ethinyl Estradiol (estrogen) and Levonorgestrel (progestin). Ethinyl Estradiol helps prevent ovulation by reducing the release of gonadotropins, hormones that stimulate your ovaries to release an egg.
Levonorgestrel thickens the cervical mucus, making it difficult for sperm to enter the uterus and reach the egg. Together, these hormones help prevent pregnancy and also help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce menstrual bleeding and cramps.
