How It Works
Ethasyl T Tablet contains two active ingredients: Etamsylate (250 mg) and Tranexamic Acid (500 mg).
Etamsylate works during the initial stage of hemostasis, the process that helps stop bleeding. It improves platelet adhesiveness, helping platelets (blood cells involved in clotting) stick together more effectively. It also helps restore capillary resistance, strengthening small blood vessels and reducing their tendency to bleed.
Tranexamic acid helps prevent blood clots from breaking down too quickly by inhibiting fibrinolysis. It is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. It works by reversibly blocking lysine-binding sites on plasminogen, a protein that forms plasmin, which breaks down blood clots. This prevents plasmin from interacting with and breaking down fibrin clots and helps to stabilise them.
