How It Works
Levonorgestrel Tablet contains a synthetic hormone called progestin that helps prevent pregnancy. It works by preventing the release of an egg from the ovary, which is a process called ovulation. This reduces the chance of sperm meeting and fertilizing an egg. Levonorgestrel may also affect the movement of sperm and egg through the reproductive tract. It does not terminate an existing pregnancy or work as an abortion pill.
